“The location is marvellous and stunning, close to cafes, restaurants, street entertainers and the Luis bridge. The Uniao de Freguesias do Centro district is worth exploring.”

8.3Verified guest

“A beautifully restored, spacious historic building with a modern feel. Conveniently located near the Douro river, with interesting architecture – natural stone walls, iron stairs and little glass bridges. The room was spacious with luxurious comfortable beds. There was an exhibition of ethnic paintings and photos with piped birdsong and pleasant music. Loved it – a great place to stay in a very interesting city.”

8.3Verified guest

“Really good bed, great shower, and the air conditioning was quiet and effective.”

8.3Verified guest

“Very central hotel near the Douro river and surrounding restaurants with fresh fish. Walkable to historical sites and port wine tours. Tour buses pick up right outside. Our room at the back was quiet, spacious, clean and well maintained. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We were pleased with our choice and would recommend it.”

8.3Verified guest

“Reception staff were very helpful. We were given a room on the 2nd floor facing a busy road, but asked to move and were upgraded to a 4th-floor suite for an extra 20 euros per night. The suite was worth it – more spacious with river views. The restaurant had amazing food, among the best in Porto, and a great 3-course deal. Breakfast was also very nice with a huge selection of sweet and salty options.”
